I'm making my way through the classic dystopias an am currently 20 pages from the end of 1984 ... . Next up will be Fahrenheit 451.

I've promised my best friend to read Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Cycle since it's their new fandom obsession and I'd like to be a better beta for their fics in the fandom. But I can't seem to get into it at all. I've worked my way through half of the first book and my promise to my friend is the only thing that makes me pick it back up.

I do like the series, but I think the litmus test for if you'll be into it is "do I like Ronan Lynch?" (or, since I think book 1 Ronan is the least sympathetic/most punchable, even "do I have any sympathy/could maybe warm up to Ronan?" If yes, keep reading. If no, I'm not sure you'll ever get into it, haha...

Right now I can't imagine having any sympathy for him, I really just want to punch him. But at the moment I feel either apathetic or punchable about most of the characters, so I'm not sure where I stand with him haha.
