BINGO 2018 Round 1: Now Open!
Well look at that, it’s February already! So let's get started with the first round of Steve/Tony Bingo for 2018!
If you have fills you’d like to claim for the previous round, please check out the prize claim posts on Dreamwidth. Don’t worry, you still have another week or so to claim prizes before the master list goes up. If you’re interested in getting a new bingo card, this post is the place to be! You don’t need to have completed your card from the last round: with the new round, anyone can get a new card and try to reach bingo.
This is the main Bingo! Event that runs through the year. But now is a good time to remind you that we also have two more bingo events coming up in the next few months. As part of the Community Anniversary celebrations, we are running a Fairy Tale Bingo and also, as part of the 10 Year of MCU celebration, we will have an MCU themed Bingo. More information will follow.
Want want to encourage everyone to participate in as many of the events and celebrations as they can, and so to that end we are allowing a fill to count as a space on different cards for different events. So, if you write a fill for your Main Bingo card, but it also happens to fill a space on your Fairy Tale Bingo or MCU card, you can claim both square for the two separate events with one fills. Just make sure that you fill does meet the requirements of both prompts.
Reminder of rules update: To allow drabbles and flashfic and encourage podficcers we've lowered the wordcount for writers and podficcers to 100 words. Don't let it stop you from going long though, if the story demands it. :) Because the requirement was lowered the free space in the middle means you can use a prompt of your own choice to fill this space.
The goal: Fill prompts to complete a line (row, column, or diagonal). Feeling adventurous? Try for a blackout (fill every prompt on your card).
Posting fills: Fills can be posted wherever you like, but must be tagged with something like bingo; cap-ironman bingo fill, or have a note that indicates it is a prompt fill for this challenge. We encourage (but do not require) you to post your fics to the comm with the bingo! tag, use the #stonybingo tag on tumblr, or add your fic to the AO3 collection. To claim a prize we require you to show up in the claims post for this round towards the end and let us know that you've reached Bingo.
Cards and prompts: As always, how you interpret the prompt is entirely up to you, but if you choose to include prompts from our specific prompt pool you need to stick to the general idea of the prompt. (A kink should be the actual kink not a reinterpretation of the words used to describe the kink, etc.) Let us know if you would like clarification on one of your prompts. People in chat will also be happy to help you brainstorm if you get stuck. For image prompts, you are not required to stick to the same format or universe, though you may choose to do so. (For example, if your visual prompt is a 616 panel, you don’t have to do a 616 fill.)
The free space in the middle means you can use a prompt of your choice to fill this space. It can be whatever you want. This is your wild card.
We have four optional prompt pools that you can opt to include: Kink (ex:kink: orgasm denial), writing format (ex: writing format: outsider pov), art format (ex:art format: line art), and podfic format (ex:;podfic format: atmospheric). You can still create kinky works, fic, art or podfic if you don’t include one or more of these pools; it just means your card won’t contain those specific prompts.
Podficcers please also remember we are keeping a list of podfic-friendly Steve/Tony writers in the fandom here, so you can easily find things to podfic if you don’t want to read your own work.
We do not allow specific omissions. If you receive a prompt on your card that you don’t know or dislike, just work around it. Randomness and risk are part of the fun! Challenge yourself.

- Obviously, this is a Steve/Tony fest, so we’re looking for works with a focus on the relationship between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark (in any setting or continuity you can think of). If there is romance then the focus should be on the Steve/Tony pairing and it should be “endgame” in some way if other background relationships are included. Multiverse or timetravel moresomes with more than one version of Steve and Tony coming together are allowed and encouraged, of course. Clarification: this applies to the threesome/moresome prompts: they're meant for multiverse/time-travel, and only fills with multiple versions of Steve and/or Tony are allowed.
- A fill may only count toward ONE space/prompt. This includes multi-chaptered fills. The point is to create one stand-alone fanwork per square. Single chapters of a chaptered fic or panels of a multi-page comic can’t count as a single fill. Only the work in its entirety can. The exception to this (for this round) is if a fill also fulfils a a prompt for your Fairy Tale Bingo, or MCU Bingo cards.
