Monthly Fanwork Recs (May)

Each month, we're offering you the chance to submit your favourite fics and other fanworks for our theme, as well as any fanworks you've enjoyed this month. Self-recs are welcome and of course you can make new recs all month!
The month's theme is ‘MCU’S IRON MAN‘ -- Pretty much exactly ten years ago, Iron Man kickstarted the MCU, and that, we want to celebrate! Recommend us the best fics, art, and crafts that IM inspired or incorporate the events of this great piece of cinema.
Please use the following format for your recs (you can just copy & paste this):
To keep track of all new comments in this post, click the bell at the top of this post.
Do you have a rec that doesn't fit the theme? Submit it to the general Stony Fic Rec Library, open 24/7!
Other great places for recs are:
- Cap-IM's Annual Rec Week
- Sabrecmc's Fic Rec Blog
- Bea Recs’ DW (you need to request access to these)
- Wingheadshellhead's tumblr FAQ
- SteveTonyFics' archives
- TheStonyLibrary's archives
- Finding Stony - A Steve/Tony Fic-Finding Blog
We also want to ask you to name themes for future Fanwork Rec Fridays, so pop into this post and leave us any suggestions! We'll use your ideas for sure (and of course give proper credit!). This and future posts will be tagged with Friday Fanwork Recs so if you ever want to go back to old themes, you can find them easily.
And now unto the fics!

Author summary: The plane crash and subsequent ice might have killed him, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still around, haunting those he cares about. And since the only person who can see him is Tony Stark, death sure isn’t going to be boring.
Comment: Prompted by the theme, I went and re-read this one because I remembered it covering the Iron Man events towards the end. I'd forgotten that it was from ghost!Steve's POV, which is fascinating and slightly heartbreaking. Really love Steve's voice in this one.
Other favourite Iron Man fanworks that came to mind are all gen Tony-centric - I'm not quite sure if that's allowed? I adore Hundredthousand's IM1 inspired paintings for example, see here and here, plus her Arc Reactor piece, which spans all of the Iron Man and the Avengers movie. But the ambiguity of the arc reactor - loss of control, free fall, trauma and danger on the one hand, vs. his own resources and ingenuity on the other - are very much introduced in Iron Man I.
