So, I started writing a fixit for MCU, where Tony connects with Steve. Halfway through the second scene I discovered, WHOOPS, Tony is maybe Bucky's soul reincarnated, and a lot of the things that are so comforting and soothing for Steve's frazzled nerves, come from that, so I tugged on the idea, and now I have 15 scenes and like 40k words roughly of fic planned, but the entire premise is that Bucky's body lives on, as this generally directionless person and tool in HYDRA's hands, and that as the body begins to repair, Tony gets more and more memories of his past life.

The heart of the main emotional struggle and conflict of the entire fic is Steve fell in love with Tony, and the idea that Tony is actually the man he saw as his older brother re-incarnated is hard for Steve to accept and swallow. Especially when they find HYDRA, and thus the Winter Soldier.

The wrap up is Tony and Steve having shared life experiences and memories, but also having found love long before that came to pass, with Winter staying with them in the tower, someone that they both feel connection but no attraction to.

Basically, before I follow this fic into the deep dark woods, would this even be something people want to see here? Because I can already feel this thing mauling me and I am only a few scenes and a rough outline in.

I am deeply deeply interested in this
