Monthly fanwork recs (September)

Each month, we're offering you the chance to submit your favourite fics and other fanworks for our theme, as well as any fanworks you've enjoyed this month. Self-recs are welcome and of course you can make new recs all month!

The month's theme is ‘Best of Summer’ -- With summer coming to an end in the Northern hemisphere we want your recommendations to keep us warm in the forthcoming autumn and winter. Best of summer could mean the best fics you’ve read this summer, the best fics and art featuring summer themes, or however else you want to interpret the theme!

Please use the following format for your recs (you can just copy & paste this):

Comment: Yet another great post-CW fic from Navaan. Love the progression of Tony's feelings throughout.

Author summary: Before he opens his eyes, Steve knows two things. The first is that he’s warmer than he’s felt in days, and the second is that he’s not alone.
Comment: The additional author's note says "This is a universe where not everyone has a soulmate, but those that do dream of the future they could have with their soulmate, long before they meet them." and I really like that it's Ultimates for this and that Steve is the one dreaming. It's such a lovely little scene and I like the bittersweet dissonance between where he is, what he dreams of, and what he expects his future to be.
