But until then, he didn't want to confine them. It seemed cruel, and there was no telling how much they understood. Tony could find himself in the doghouse if he treated them like cats.

This was a fantastic set up! Nick and Steve make adorable and terrifying cats, as well they should. I loved that Nick uses the opportunity to weed out double agents and kill them.

Best of all, I read this with a kitten on my lap. ;-)
