Fic: Cap-Iron Man bingo fill - "An Ass in the Hole"
(Also I'm not sure how people get one of those x: (author name) tags - is that something I have to request, or that only certain people can have? Thank you!)
I posted this fic several days ago, thinking the bingo round had ended June 30 and it was an "unofficial" fill. But I just checked backand found that the round goes through July 31, so I can make it an official fill for my card!
So this is for 2019 Stony Bingo round 1, square O-2, "Presumed Dead."

Summary: An Endgame-pertinent one-liner/punchline I was absolutely compelled to write, with some added "How Tony Is Not Dead" headcanon backstory.
When Tony entrusted Steve and Rhodey with the task of returning his body to his lab In The Event Of His Untimely, he figured either one of them was smart enough to suspect him of having a contingency plan. But he told them nothing of it, not wanting to get their hopes up in case the experimental process failed.
It didn't; the Cradle, in conjunction with FRIDAY, succeeded in rebuilding Tony's body and restoring his memory from his night-before backup. And when he walked out of his workshop alive, none other than a grim-faced Steve Rogers was waiting for him.
It turned out that saving the universe together had made them a little more willing to communicate than they used to be, and in the process, Steve turned some of Tony's choice words back on him to unexpectedly humorous effect.

Anyone who posts to the comm gets a tag for their username - a comm mod must add this tag to DW the first time you post, and afterwards you'll be able to add it to any future posts you make. Before we add a username for you, please confirm whether you'd prefer "wynnesome" or "stargraven" as your tag.
Secondly, your post looks fine! You may choose to do place a cut for Avengers: Endgame spoilers so that those people who haven't seen the movie aren't spoiled by your additional tags and summary. To do that, simply go to HTML mode when editing your post and include the following code:
Lastly, we've taken the liberty of adding the "bingo!" tag to your post, so that it comes up for anyone searching for bingo fics specifically on our comm.
We look forward to seeing more of your content on our comm! If you have any questions regarding posting, please don't hesitate to get in touch
Re: cap-im comm username
I would like wynnesome as my user tag, please. It was taken as a DW account name, but it's still my preferred screen name, and my Discord and ao3 name. :)
Got the cut tags working.
And thank you for adding the bingo! tag. I was having a little trouble figuring out how to add tags to the entry - finally got it figured out, with help from mimicking the formatting I saw used for some other fic posts, but those weren't bingo fics and I didn't think to add a tag for bingo!
Re: cap-im comm username
You can see all of the currently available tags for the comm here - there's a known DW glitch which means that if you try to add a tag that doesn't exist yet, none of the other tags you chose will show up on your post. If you ever have any trouble, don't hesitate to let a mod know and we'll help you out.
We were all DW newbies once, and we understand it can be a little overwhelming!
Re: cap-im comm username
I'm pretty sure exactly what you're describing is what happened the first time I tried to add tags - and nothing showed up!
Then when I went to Edit Tags to try and see what had happened, it pulled up the drop-down of the available tags, and that made more sense and let me at least add the rating and universe tags directly from the list.
I used LJ for a long time, but not FOR a long time now. The idea of personal page and then posting in comms is familiar, but a lot of things are in different places than how I knew them on LJ. (And I mean, even when I occasionally go to LJ now, it's also a lot different now from when I used to use it a lot, and I have to search for buttons and features!)
I'm finding my way around, but really, really appreciate the nudges in the right directions. :)
