Talesofsuspense.net Gallery

Well, after nearly two months of banging my head against code that's well beyond my level of understanding, Talesofsuspense.net finally has a working gallery again.

It's automated like the rest of the site, and runs off of the same user pool, so if you've got an account already, it'll work for the gallery, along with the rest of the site. To log in, just log out from the main page, and click the little login button on the gallery page.

So everyone who's been sharing their great art, please, come, use of the gallery so that people will be able to find your art again in the future. There are also albums to share scans, icons, wallpapers, and colorbars, so feel free to put those up as well.

The only rule is that if you put up comic scans, please, no whole comics; we don't want to get in trouble.

Whoo hoo! I went to check it out and the site looks awesome. I don't know when you did the latest redesign (I'm behind uploading my stuff), but I love it.

Also, you mentioned once upon a time that you'd given me admin type privileges so that I could upload stories for people, if they wanted me to, but I'm not sure how to do that. I logged in and poked around, but I didn't see anyway to list someone else as an author and not list myself. Help? :-)

I may have to go on an uploading frenzy for folks who don't mind me doing it for them. I'll do just about anything to have all my favorite pretties easily available in one place. *g*

*bookmarks* No worries! The way my brain has been lately, I doubt I'd have been using it anyway. :-) But now that I feel I'm starting to emerge--and now that the gallery is up--I'm looking forward to obsessively gathering. *g*

Oh, I forgot, I adore the "NOT Approved By The Comics Code Authority" icon on the site. *grins* So perfect. Completely perfect.

So do I, but after more thought, I think it's totally approved. Decades of Avengers/Iron Man/Captain America comics have convinced me that it is; it's just that nobody's allowed to officially admit it. *g*

*laughs* Well, you know, the Comics Code Authority was a different entity from the companies that made the comics. So they may not have approved, but Marvel was sneaky and got around them. Like with the "zuvembies". *snickers*

Ah, I keep forgetting to mention this.

1) When I click on the Titles (http://talesofsuspense.net/browse.php?type=titles) display option, it only shows up to 'D'; the rest of the fics are only visible by clicking on an author's name, or by searching through individual letters.

2) In a chaptered story, there's no way to select a certain chapter; only the 'previous' and 'next' options are available.

And the 'NOT approved by the Comics Code Authority' postage stamp cracked me up the first time I saw it. I love the revamped set-up of the site, by the way. So pretty. And, of course, the header image is just plain awesome.
