2020 Cap-Iron Man Community Gifts Information and Rules Post

It is time for Community Gifts again! The Cap-Iron Man Community Gifts event is where anyone and everyone are invited to submit and fill prompts which are revealed alongside this year's Holiday Exchange works. All completed fills are gifts for the community and all its members to enjoy!

You don't have to take part in the Holiday Exchange to submit or create Community Gifts (but you can join both!). There is no sign-up and no minimum requirement for any of the fills. The four main rules are:

★ The prompts and fills must be focused on Steve Rogers & Tony Stark.
★ The works must be completed and created solely for the Community Gifts (and no other event).
★ The works must be kept anonymous and a secret until after reveals.
★ Most importantly: be excellent to each other!

Before submitting to the Community Gifts, please make sure to read through our General Event Policies and the following information below, even if you participated in previous years.

October 10: Community Gifts prompt submission open
November 7, 22:00 PM UTC (what time is it for me?): Community Gifts prompt submissions close
November 7: Community Gifts prompts list is posted
December 27, 22:00 UTC (what time is it for me?): Community Gifts are due
December 27th: Start of gift reveals
January 9 (approximately): Creator reveals

★ SUBMITTING A PROMPT

Prompt submissions will open on October 10 and will close on November 7. During this time, anyone can anonymously submit Steve/Tony prompts using the submission form.

There is no sign-up required to participate in Community Gifts, and you don’t have to commit to creating a gift in order to submit a prompt. This means that submitted community gift prompts are not guaranteed to receive a fill.

PROMPTING RULES

• Text prompts can be either as short as a simple phrase, or as long as two paragraphs.


• Prompts can also be things like links to images, poetry, and music.


• Prompts cannot be existing fanworks.


• You can submit multiple prompts. Each should be a separate submission.


• This is a gift for the Cap-Ironman Community, so the prompts should be about Steve and Tony.


• All ratings are welcome for both prompts and fills. Please mark NSFW prompts by ticking the NSFW box on the submission form.


• Only one option can be selected for Canon. There are two options that aren’t specific canons: the “Other” option which is used to write in canons not listed or crossovers, and the “AU” option.

★ SUBMITTING A GIFT

Prompts will be revealed on November 7, and prompts can be filled by anybody interested.You can fill as many prompts as you like, and you can fill the same prompt multiple times!

GIFT RULES

• Gifts should be new and created solely for the 2020 Cap-Ironman Community Gifts event.


• Works created for the Community Gifts are gifts for the community, not to an individual


• There are no minimum work requirements, aside from being a complete, stand-alone work.


• Gifts can be fics, art, poetry, podfics, manips, fanvids, or any other type of fanwork


• Gifts can be created in any language. Just be aware that the original prompter may not be able to read a non-English gift, and thus might not comment.


• If you are a participant in the Exchange, we ask that you complete your Exchange gift before creating a Community Gift.


• All works must follow the Event Work Requirements detailed in the General Event Policies.


• Community Gifts must remain anonymous until creator reveals.


• Please list the prompt in the summary or author's note (either at the beginning or end of your work, in case of spoilers).

Once you finish your gift, submit it to the 2020 Captain America/Iron Man Holiday Exchange collection on AO3 by December 27 and gift it to the "Cap Iron Man Community".

Hello! Thank you for running this event. I just wanted to let you know that the link in the 2020 Community Gifts prompt submissions sheet actually goes to the 2019 event instead of the 2020 event. I got confused when I clicked on it, and it said that Community Gift prompts were closed. Thank you!
