Welcome to a new edition of the Cap-Iron Man Community Newsletter! Catch up on reading the Big Bang fics and looking at the beautiful accompanying artwork - there are still some teams left to post! If you'd like to treat the community there are over 500 prompts to choose from; why not make a Community Gift fill or two? We'll be starting our Remix Event soon, and there's still time to send us your starting work for Remix Relay… let the holiday festivities begin!

This newsletter gives you an overview of what's been happening at cap_ironman, which upcoming Steve/Tony events to look out for, and a round-up of all the wonderful things that our lovely Steve/Tony creators shared with us since the last newsletter.

• 'Tis the season for our Cap-IM Holiday Exchange and Community Gifts event! The 2020 schedule and guidelines can be found here. Remember that everyone is welcome to create Community Gift fills, in whatever format you like!


• Our Remix event is about to start; you can see our Information Masterpost here. We're still accepting starter fics and art for Relay Remix so send them through!


• Comment Bingo (Round 5) is open - you can request a card here throughout the round.


• STONY Bingo 2020 Round 2 is open - you can request a card at any time throughout the round.


• We're looking for event mods for the Cap-IM Reverse Bang. If you are over 18 and interested in teaming up with the comm mods to help mod the upcoming RBB, please send us an email at cap.im.mod@gmail.com expressing your interest and any experience and skills you bring to the table!

• It's the last day to sign up for 2020stockings, a multi-fandom, low-pressure stocking event. The stocking fills deadline is Dec 21.


• It's also the last day to sign up for W-0-W, the 10-word exchange challenge. This one has assignments due on Dec 9.


• Adventdrabbles will be posting prompts every day to inspire creators of all kinds.


• fandomtrees is a mulitfandom gifting fest (think fandomstockings and fandomgiftbox). Sign-ups are open until Dec 4, and gifting closes on Jan 3.


• The multifandom holiday love meme is here! Post your social media accounts so others can anonymously leave well wishes and spread some cheer after a long, hard year. This meme is open until the new year.


• Lights on Park Ave Round 16 will run through December. The prompt is "service/devotion" this month.


• Go Bang Yourself is an event for creators of fan works to remix their own works. Sign-ups close on December 31.


• Marvel Holiday Movie Promptfest is running until Jan 31.

This monthly roundup is for all fanworks people felt like sharing with the cap-ironman Community. To have your Steve/Tony works included in the roundups, you can:

• post or announce your work in one of our community spaces: our Dreamwidth or Livejournal
• post to our Cap-Iron Man Bingo Collection on AO3 or Cap-Iron Man Fanworks Collection on AO3
• leaving a fill in current SteveTony Kink Meme round
• post on Tumblr or Twitter and mention cap_ironman (so that we get a notification).

The man doesn’t say a word, just looks at Tony, and Tony tries not to blink under the scrutiny. There’s a coldness to it, and Tony’s suddenly struck with the realisation that he’s not been kidnapped for any reason other than this man wants to cause pain and Tony was the nearest person available.

And that, somehow, is more terrifying than anything else Tony can imagine.

Tony Stark, son of the Governor of Massachusetts, is in his lab at MIT when it suddenly... well, explodes. He's saved by a human Dorito, who disappears as soon as Tony is safely at the hospital. He launches a quest to get the dude's number, but it's proving as difficult as Cinderella's shoe.

Steve Rogers is fresh outta the closet and not looking for anything even remotely resembling a relationship, so the infamous king of one-night stands sounds like a great conquest.

It's going to go super well for both of them.
