β˜… WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR β˜…

We've made quite a few changes this year to refresh our Holiday Exchange in particular, so please make sure you read the Event Guidelines thoroughly even if you're a veteran participant πŸ™‚

β˜…(click to expand)
  • You can sign up to create any of six worktypes for the exchange: Fanart, fanfiction, fanmix, fanvid, manip/gifsets and podfic.

  • You can opt in to receive fanwork types, but must choose at least two.

  • You only need to fill out one request when you sign up, and the way that prompts are assigned universes has changed.

  • We've added some additional tags (see the full tag set here).

  • You must choose a minimum of 5 Additional Tags (tropes and themes) for your request, and a minimum of 10 for your offer.

  • You have the option to indicate that you'd be happy to receive an accompanying fanwork for your own existing Steve/Tony or Steve&Tony works as a gift for HE.

  • You have the option of prompting existing fanworks as community prompts if the creator has a clear transformative works statement

  • We know it can be disappointing not to receive a comment of the gift you worked hard to make. Mods have always tracked and followed up with non-commenters, but from this year onwards, if you haven't commented on your gift by the start of the next HE, you will be asked to sit a round out.

β˜… GENERAL RULES β˜…

  • Please read through Cap-IM's General Event Guidelines. before signing up for the Holiday Exchange or participating in the Community Gifts.

  • This event is run by the cap-ironman community and it’s a Steve/Tony fest, so we’re looking for works with a focus on the relationship, whether platonic or romantic, between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in any context and in any setting or continuity you can think of.

  • Gifts must be previously unpublished and posted as complete works.

β˜… HOLIDAY EXCHANGE β˜…

Information | FAQ | AO3 Collection | Sign-Up Form

The Holiday Exchange is our end-of-year fanwork exchange for Steve/Tony and Steve&Tony works. Everyone who joins will be matched to secretly create a Stevetony fanwork for another participant. At the end of December the gifts will be posted anonymously, and then in early January the creators will be revealed! Be sure to check out the main post for more information and instructions on how to sign up.

If you have any questions about signing up, please don't hesitate to contact the mods at cap.im.events@gmail.com. We'll be more than happy to provide clarifications and help you through the signup process!

This event is open to participants who are 18 or older.

β˜… COMMUNITY GIFTS β˜…

Information | FAQ | Prompt List | AO3 Collection

Community Gifts is the annual gift-giving event run in tandem with the Holiday Exchange. It is a way to give gifts to the community without the pressure or commitment of the Holiday Exchange. Prompts are collected anonymously from everyone who wants to submit them, and after they’re published, everyone is welcome to create fills β€” no sign-ups needed. Be sure to check out the main post for more information and details on how to submit and fill a prompt.

This event is open to all ages.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us at cap.im.events@gmail.com, or get in touch with the mods another way.
