Hi! 

First: I have a question related to the Alphabet Challenge: We are sadly still missing stories.
I think schmevil´s prompt for O is now in beta (or something like that, wasn´t really active lately) and I´m looking forward to reading it.^^
The sad part is that we are missing stories by the dear megalotrowho hasn´t been active for quite some time.

Well, what to do now? 
This is a comm-decision and you guys decide:
(sorry for not making a poll, no paid user here)

a) wait for stories - may take a while
b) leave slots empty - a bit contradictory to the purpose of Alphabet
c) give the slots to someone else - feels awfully rude when you ask me
d) do nothing; make that compilation-file ready

To a more ...happier(?) occasion:

I vote for (c), give the slots to someone else. It may be a bit rude, but I think Tro would understand. And it's not like she's been in touch to say she's just a bit late. Pinch hitters are standard practice in challenges for when folks can't do their stories, and this seems to be the same thing to me.

For Halloween, I'd love to see the comm do something special. Alas, I must say now that I won't be able to contribute. I have a con zine story due October 1st, and an essay (introduction to the Avengers) due October 13th, and I'm going to BASCon in the first week of November. Sticking another deadline in there would be a Bad Idea for me. :-(

I'd probably have to say either B or C myself. We could wait for a bit, and if the claims don't come in, hand it off to someone else or simply just leave the spots empty. It's a tough choice, but one that the persons who made the claims should have expected

(damn that sounds cold-hearted >_> didn't mean it to).

As for Halloween, I LOVE Halloween :D I'm not sure what my world is going to be like around that time, so no guarantees I can participate for certain, but I will make an effort to, whatever it might be.

I guess we just collect ideas, whoever feels like it grabs one or comes up with own stuff, and then we will post around Halloween...

Oh Halloween! I've had a sketch sitting around for a while now of the Avengers in costume that I may have to clean up and color just for the occasion.

We could totally have a Halloween prompt table for people to pick stuff off of, like 'costume', 'pumpkins', 'Tony has to answer the door for Trick or Treating kids', 'Cap dresses up as Uncle Sam'. The like. Could be fun. :)

i dunno about the alphabet challenge... could you compile everything and add something later or is it non-changable once you finish it?

It´s a powerpoint presentation, so you can just watch page per page.
I can add later in my file and then upload an updated version to the internet, I guess.
I´ll just wait for schmevil´s fic now and then upload a file to see what responses I get...

I think before doing anything some attempt should be made to contact Tro and see where she's at... comment on her livejournal, email, something like that, to see what she'd like to do. Maybe she has things written and just hasn't been able to get on the internet for a while, but maybe she doesn't and is cool with giving them to someone else, and we can't know unless we ask her.

I think something Halloween-ish would be cool

If after a couple of attempts to e-mail contact the person, maybe we could apologize and give the slot to somebody else... If the person hasn't written anything for so long, maybe real life is really busy for him/her now.

Halloween... I think a "Day in the life of Cap and/or Tony on Halloween" fest might be quite cool. (Might need to be better named though XD) Kinda like fics or art how the guys spend halloween. :D

If Tro can't be reached, and it's been a couple months, I think C is the best bet. I think she would understand, and I don't think anyone would mind having two stories for some letters if she does come back later with her stories finished.
