Iron Man: The End

This is my first post to this community which is so full of awesome! Anyway, so as you all probably know, Iron Man: Director of SHIELD is coming to an end. But apparently there is going to be a new Iron Man series/project called Iron Man: The End which is about a 70 year old Tony Stark dealing with aging and possibly the end of his career as Iron Man... And... he's married! (fic prompt? ;p) If you're interested in more info, you can read about it here.

Well I'm sure a lot of things won't turn out the way we'd hoped, and it sounds like it's gonna be angst riddled, but at least it should be interesting. And if it turns out really bad, we can always just consider it some kind of alternate universe. Marvel seems to have loads of those... (ugh the awful-looking Iron Man cartoon coming out aimed at pre-teens for example)

(sigh) Yeees, THAT cartoon. I had been interested in what it was like, then I heard it was about his teenager self. I told myself "Oookay, that's fine, as long as it's done well I guess..." And then I see previews. They use a fairly cheep 3-D animation, most likely because drawing suits and machines over and over again would drive the animators nuts. Transformer animations back in the day didn't complain, did they!?

As for the comic, I don't know, if feel like they're trying to finish him off. Or even jumping the shark. But this is Marvel, does such a term apply to them?

But if it's drawn and written well, no matter how depressing it might be I'll give it a shot.

I'm actually more concerned about the contents of the cartoon than the actual look, though something akin to Blur Studio's Iron Man adventures would be totally awesome (the one on MarvelKids.com). But it's also totally unfeasible at the moment because it would take to long to make for a regular tv series, which is why a lot of 3D tv cartoons look cheap. (I work in the 3D Animation industry LOL) Anyhoo, as I was saying, I'm more annoyed they seem to have changed Tony and co. so much just to fit into that particular demographic that it's too obvious and stupid. I mean, I don't think kids have to watch characters that are their own age and are pretty much like them in order to be entertained. Frankly, there's enough of those shows out there already.

When I first saw the article header, I thought, "Oh, no... They're gonna kill him off! GAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" I totally thought for a second that they meant that it was the end of the Iron Man comic books. Scary!
