Welcome to the cap_ironman/cap_ironman newsletter. Marvel has teamed up with kitchenware company Williams-Sonoma to produce superhero-themed cookie cutters and cake pans. It looks like each set has a Steve and a Tony, which is delightful. No superheroines, though. They've also released a digital comic in which Jarvis and the Avengers teach kids to cook while fighting bad guys. If the idea tickles you, well, you aren't alone; website ComicsAlliance wrote product-placement fanfic in honor of this partnership.

In really awesome news, Marvel is releasing a free audiobook of Daredevil #1, with panel descriptions narrated by Captain America: Man out of Time writer Mark Waid. This project was created with visually-impaired fans in mind.


snowynight wrote a Marvel Adventures fic called Mirror, Mirror.

valtyr wrote an ancient Rome AU fic called The Emperor's Fury. The link also leads to two tribute fanmixes by penumbren.

aeon_entwined wrote a movieverse fic called Tight Rope.

aquaocean posted a drawing of Steve holding Tony.

ladygrendel wrote chapter five of The Lion-Hearted Girl.

We made one attempt at making them last week, but the butter cookie recipe we were using did not respond well to food coloring. Next time we're using sugar sprinkles.

Ha, I love that you wore a Comic Con t-shirt while making Marvel cookies! I think that combination qualifies you for a higher tier of geekdom.

(Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much red food coloring blood in him?)

And you can't see the TV in the background, but yes, we were also playing Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. :D A geeky night was had by all.

Haha, the red dough was for Tony and Peter. My friend was on Cap duty, so her hands were bright blue. XD
