Well yeah! He could get sucked into a Vortex! (though running around with THAT costume he'd be better off :P) --- plus... an American Flag on your back? What if it rains? "Sorry guys I have to go inside and fold my costume..." --- I guess he could just fight naked in the rain :O

My theory is that Tony watches CSI because he enjoys ranting about how inacurate their portrayal of science is, and Steve watches Grey's Anatomy because he saw half an episode on day after Lost (which Logan secretly watches because a) it's set in the Savage Land and b) he gets to see Gambit Sawyer Gambit get the snot beaten out of him in every other episode) and got hooked on the soap opera plot.
