Complete Fluff.

So I was thinking about the awesomely slashy Marvel Adventures: Avengers #27 again today - you know, the one where Cap & Tony play basketball, fight some spammers, and then go out for a burger. And I think it’s a format I could be endlessly entertained with: Cap & Tony play a sport, take down petty criminals or perpetrators of annoying behavior, and eat together.

If you created an issue following this format, what would you want to see?

Personally, I’d go with Cap & Tony biking or hiking together, because I think outdoor activities are kind of romantic. Then they could fight the evils of tailgating! Just imagine it: Tony could use his magnetic repulsers to hold the offending car in place, while Cap stands on the hood and lectures on the importance of driving at a safe distance from the proceeding car. Then they’d eat ice cream cones.

I think this is the fluffiest discussion I’ve ever tried to start.

but i mean, wouldn't Cap got hit in the head by an ad board or one of those green thing that tells you where the exit is since he's standing backward?

Tony and Steve play tennis in dashing togs. Tony wins for once. When they stop for pizza, both are scandalized to see an able-bodied young couple leaving an SUV with no placard in the handicapped spot. Steve looks the other way as Tony armors up and throws the SUV into the sun. Then they enjoy tasty pizza.

Hm, that was a really short issue. I'll work on it. ;)

They go swimming - maybe at the beach to get them outside (Wet!Tony FTW! And then there's always the speedo vs. trunks debate ^_~)

Then they stop some kids graffiti-ing and defacing a PSA billboard. Tony and Steve round them up and while Tony disposes of the paint, Steve magically produces pamphlets about legal ways to artistically express yourself.

Then they decide they need some carbs after all that activity so they head to an Italian restaurant for pasta. And of course, it's family style (meaning they get several different dishes and share) so there's always the chance of an iconic Lady-and-the-Tramp-esque spaghetti scene.

Hmm... I think I may have pulled off crack moreso than fluff.

But good, fluffy crack. <3 God, I'd love to read that. And maybe illustrate it. XD

I love the idea of Steve carrying around art pamphlets.

Oh, fun. Let's see...
Tony and Steve go canoeing together in the wilderness somewhere (because outdoor activities are completely romantic). Steve jumps in and goes swimming next to the canoe; Tony pouts when Steve won't let him use his repulsor gauntlets to make the boat go faster.
They encounter someone joyriding in a stolen convertible, local police in pursuit. Steve vaults across the hood and plucks the thief out of the driver's seat; Tony stops the car- with his suit and Extremis- without getting a scratch on it.
Finally, they settle into camp for the night. Steve tries to make beans and franks, but they end up inedible. Tony cheers him up and saves the day by hand-delivering pizza back to the campsite using the suit.
