Quick Canon Question

Just because it occurred to me that I don't already know this:  In canon, when did Tony have his last drink?   I know he's been on-and-off the wagon a few times, but how long has he been sober this time around?

The elastic nature of comic book time makes it impossible to say definitively, unfortunately. But all the fic I've read puts it at roughly six years, and I've never read anything in canon to contradict that.

I will be curious to see what other folks say in answer to this question, though.

I'm pretty sure that a (recent?) issue mentioned that it had been six years. I can't remember what issue it was, though.

i think it was the beginning of Fraction's run. ::goes to look:: Yep... Invincible Iron Man #1. Six Years of Sobriety. (though he goes "four, no wait five, six! six years...")

And I'm pretty sure he had his last (non-internet-control-entity-related) drink right after his long homeless-drunk-arc.

I do have a vague memory of being surprised and then feeling pleased that canon agreed with fanon, but I can't remember where it was, either.
