A random question
Hey guys! :D
I have quick question that's been bugging me (as an art school student myself) for a while, and I haven't been able to find an answer yet. Do we know where Steve went to art school? Or has it never been mentioned?
(PS - who's stoked for next Friday? I know I am!)

Ah well, I shoulda said "former" art student. I graduated about three years ago from the Visual art program at the University of North Texas. Since then I've opted to keep art mostly as a hobby with just doing a few freelance things here and there. I find I'm happier if I can do art independent of worrying about whether the art will pay bills.
My personal canon is that he went to Cooper Union, which makes sense because I don't see his family having money for school, but it's also insanely hard to get into. Who knows.
Oh man I looked that up and WHOA.
Maybe it wasn't as hard to get into back then =P
But it was still probably hard.
I checked and the most I could find was the he was a WPA artist, so with the FAP I suppose (which makes me wonder if there's not some Steve Rogers mural up somewhere).
That still doesn't answer what school he went to though, but ahh *thinks*
He could also have gone to the Chase Art School, which IIRC is the New York School of Art now (or something like that). There's also the Pratt school (which Jakc Kirby dropped out of, so I've hear *L*)
I don't know though, I think I like the idea of him being largely self taught as a nod to Jack Kirby =P
