Moar Trailer

Since the last post had such a big effect, why not continue?
For those of you who have not heard this: Marvel will launch a new animated series in 2011, called: Avengers - Earth´s Mightiest Heroes.
Featuring: Ironman as the leader, Giantman, Wondrous Wasp, Thor, Captain America and the incredible Hulk.

Look here, here, here, here and here for more information

And what you´ve all waited for, the trailer (I really I wish I had found with better quality)

eta: now in the right journal^^ thanks panda

I will enjoy is, possibly... the style isn't bad (though it could be better). I'm wondering how serious the tone will get, though.

I'm also a little bit urked that Iron Man is the leader and not Captain America... I understand that Iron Man is all the kids are familiar with, but it foreshadows that he will also be the leader in the Avengers movie... Though maybe he'll just start out as the leader, then Cap will take over at some point...? (Wishful thinking.)

At the same time, possibly kooky, lovably Marvel Adventure's-esque stories of team bonding, banter and antics. XD With a dash of AI Jarvis on the side. It iiiis a tempting thought.

I am also irked. I can buy Tony as co-leader, but not the leader, in place of Steve.

THAT TRAILER is TEN WAYS OF AWESOME.

Did anyone else squee when it zoomed on Cap gasping when Iron Man was trying and failing to stop the ship crashing?

[identity profile] jwaneeta.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
*hangs head*

I did.

[identity profile] ani-bester.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah that'd be pretty much the trailer moment I'm walking away with *That and the announcer sounds unintentionally humorous)

...This is wrong on so many levels. TONY STARK WOULD NOT APPROVE.

[identity profile] marinarusalka.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, now this actually looks promising. At least, everyone is the right age, and they have the original Classic Avengers line-up, and it looks like fun overall. Hard to judge the animation quality from the trailer, but I like the character designs.

Looks good to me -- Avengers doing what Avengers do, and no Civil War (and no fecking Wanda). ;)

I LOVE THIS. And the animation looks great too (but that may just be because I love Ant Man/Giant Man's expressive helmet).

So excited for a trailer that actually lists Hank and Jan's names rather than "And Those Other Avengers". ♥♥

I'm optimistic for this, I think the style looks a little wonky in parts and could use some more polish, but at least it's not incredibly generic.

Is this truly the time to have TONY as the Avenger's leader? Considering he's still one of the most hated guys in the Marvelverse? UM. Then again, at least he's got his fantastic ponstache in this one, lol. :3

But dude, original lineup, awesome! (though I'd miss Wanda. And Clint.)

That beginning voice over sounds like the story Tony tells the kids in Next Avengers.

Ant Man's expression on the promo picture = my sentiments and apprehensions exactly. I'll at least watch it for teh lulz. :D

i love the GIANT ANT that he's holding... wtf?

This is either gonna be awesome or hilarious. Either way, I can't wait. :D

[identity profile] amf-wip.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
I loved Steve's gasp of alarm when he sees the situation Tony's in. :D

[identity profile] temperance-k.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
... Everyone in the promo poster looks evil. D:

Aside from that, I can't believe the amount of 'omgwrong' I was hit with when they said that Tony was the leader and he said "Avengers Assemble!" It might have been the voice actor, who quite frankly is lacking all of Tony's character, but. Uh. Awkward.

Exposing more kids to the Avengers = Good! Though I have no idea how they'll react if they ever pick up a comic, and as much as I love Tony, I think Cap will always be the better choice as a leader/role model. If they wanted a movie tie-in, 2011 is the Cap movie release. They could still have had Cap as the leader.

Quite. Rogers is definitely the leader of the group, the heart, the inspiration. Whereas Tony is that face man that smooths things out, and chips money towards the funding. It doesn't make Tony any less of a character, but he's already leading his companies, etc so this is rather overkill.

I'll watch this one over IM Adventures any day.

[identity profile] gestalt1.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
I loled. Oh God, voiceover guy. XD And Jarvis just sounds so bored of the whole thing. "Oh look, it appears to be from the future. *sigh* Another day at the office. The first million years were the worst."

[identity profile] ailette.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I actually LIKE this one. :D And I breathed a huge sigh of relief upon seeing that Tony was his goatee-self and not some 10 years old. Though his mask looks... um... scary?

Is it wrong of me to hope that they'll start with Tony as the leader (because he's funding them and everything) and then slowly change to Cap and him leading the Avengers together? Because it seems like whenever just one of them is leading something BAD will happen... *also hopes for the line-up to change over time like it did in the comics*

Other than that, I had a very random moment of LOL at seeing Kang and hearing his Evil Laugh of Evilness. XD

You know I was hoping the artoon would be a bit different, but NOPE, everybody except Cap has a facial structure that looks like a baddie... WHY?!

[identity profile] camelonajourney.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
This, surprisingly, looks kind of awesome...

They are not just hostile, they are from the FUTURE!

[identity profile] hohaiyee.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't it be more hilarious though, if they were from the past?

I wish the Iron Man armor looks better, it could have been worse.

When I'm watching the embedded clip, most annoying, YouTube has a rolling selection of other videos I could watch at the bottom, obstructing parts of the clip. How do I make them go away?

...but I really wish they wouldn't try to make it anime ish, they are doing it wrong, and as much as I like anime, I like the western style too. Why can't they hire the people who did Batman TAS in 1992?

A Bruce Timm/Paul Dini Avengers cartoon would make my entire existance, and also heal all the pain and betrayal caused by Ultimates sucking so much.

I'm as amused by the widespread disagreement I see over whether this is good or not as I am by the old-fashioned CHEESE in that trailer. Not a big fan of the animation style, though.

[identity profile] elspethdixon.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
OMG, we're actually getting an Avengers toonverse! I have some small qualms about the animation style, but with luck the final product will be closer to the 90s Spiderman cartoon than the WTF Teenage!Tony thing in terms of sticking close to canon and being awesome.
