Steve cringed at the sound of his own voice when he said that; it had come out more angrily than he had meant it to. Tony just chuckled, however, finding Steve's possessiveness amusing and endearing. "I tied myself up," he replied, sounding smug with his accomplishment.
Steve just walked towards the bed, and sat down at the end of it."I find that hard to believe, Tony. Look, as long as the person who tied you up isn't... interested in you, I'm fine with it. Just tell me who it was so I can thank them, " he said, biting his jealousy down.
Tony just grinned and said, "I made these ribbons, did you know that? The fabric has microtubes embedded in it; they're run with a small battery and a chip at the base of the ribbon. I can control the device with extremis, so I really did tie myself up. Now, aren't you going to unwrap your gift?"
Steve sent a brief prayer to whatever god had made his lover so inventive before he went to play with his new toy.

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters, marvel does and I'm not getting paid for this.
Just as a side note, I may have strayed a bit from the origional prompt. There is home-made wrapping, but it's not exactly paper.

Oh God, made of win, because that was exactly the first thing I thought when I realized that Steve had come home and *found* Tony that way instead of doing it himself.
The fabric has microtubes embedded in it; they're run with a small battery and a chip at the base of the ribbon. I can control the device with extremis, so I really did tie myself up. Now, aren't you going to unwrap your gift?"
*dies* The best part is how completely believable that is. Ribbons/ropes that can tie themselves is something Tony could easily come up with in canon. And I love his challenging little "Aren't you going to unwrap your present?" at the end. (and Steve trying so hard to not be jealous)
