Because Obama is so badass he doesn't need a costume to save everyone. I approve so hardcore it's like burning.

*grin* Exactly! Any new president offers an opportunity for the whole "new broom sweeps clean" thing, but Obama's character seems to have something of a stubborn intent to roll his sleeves up and stuck into any necessary dirty work. Let's hope he'll live up to that!

But it also seems fitting because the start of the Civil War debacle was fueled with bad press and politicking, and it feels right that it should be fixed in similar fashion.
