Mod Announcement

Before the cut, I apologize for the time waiting on this I was at the hospital yesterday, thank you for your patience and understanding.

 

I've reviewed everything that went on yesterday and have come to a few conclusions. First off, nothing was deleted without being
screencapped first, so we have a full record of who said what. Secondly, (and once again) all posts relating to a link to a new community needs to be approved by a mod FIRST.

We were not asked before the posts containing the community links that led to some of the controversy yesterday were posted, and by the time we
saw them, they were deleted by another mod. We are still new to modding and without the benefits of experience, we did not realize that freezing may have been most
appropriate response. Said mod was acting fast to what was becoming an increasingly unpleasant situation that was breaking our first rule of "be awesome to one another".

We don't want to restrict people's abilities to post their thoughts and opinions, but as mods we were put in a difficult position by all involved.
In the future, we would like to ask posters that if something like this should happen again, please PM the mod. In short, please don't poke the troll(s). They enjoy it. If it turns out not to be a troll and simply a matter of miscommunication than angry words will not resolve things.

 I love being a mod of this community and it saddens me to hear of the divide here and of those leaving the fandom. I hope the loss is not permenant and that somehow we
can reconcile. As for now, please review the rules of the comm, and do not engage in arguments ON the comm.
This comm was made to be an open and inclusive place, and I hope it still is.
I am sorry it took me so long to respond to the situation. A lot of things happened to me IRL (there were circumstances) but I will try to be faster next time.

Finally, on an up note, the spring challenge is still on and I still have mysterious awards planned for it.
Participation is love, respect and treat your fellow comm members as you would like to be treated yourself.

I've never been in a fandom with so much drama (or really, just a fandom that's been so large).

I have no idea why anyone is getting so upset over anything here.

Well, some people have been unkind to other people. This made the people who were the recipients of the unkindness sad.

Often, when people are sad, their friends feel sad too. When many people are sad, there is more likely to be unkindness.

Some people have had very mean things said to them, and they are hurt. This makes their friends angry at the mean people. When people are angry, there is more likely to be unkindness.

So people are upset because there have been unkind and mean things said and done.

It's a set of word that requires dramatic music. I heard of one storyline where there was a future ebil version of F4...lead by a future Susan Storm, who is killed by Dr.Doom. Then there is a future 2093 with a reborned King Arthur (WTF?) and a Tony Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr is working with an older Doom...Doom and Tony has been summoned to the future to stop them, and then present Doom is disgusted by older Doom and kills future Doom!

Well, it can be easy to miss these things if you're not directly involved. :) But that's pretty much how things have been going, so lots of people are a little sensitive right now.

the difficulty with sight is that not all of these things occurred on comm. Some were on the hate and love memes some on 4chan I think? and on other ranting etc.. sites which I suppose is only effective if the people targeted also follow those sites and it gets confusing really the simplified above is alot easier to follow and making me picture it drawn by ani_bester allows me to go back to thinking of how fandom can be enjoyable and fun and lovely.

Totally ya, they are like giant teddy bear, but it's a teddy Ilama...or something. It's very soft and tame because it's raised as a wool animal...is it still wool if it's not from a sheep?
