Captain America runs the Boston Marathon.

I can totally see this as an MA:Avengers story. Steve is running to raise money for charity, natch. And the rest of the Avengers are cheering/mocking from the sidelines. But oh noes, a supervillain is trying to sabotage the race! Or maybe aliens are attacking Boston! In any case, wacky hijinks must ensue before Steve can cross the finish line.

They've already had the Avengers playing baseball for charity, so why not a marathon?

Steve would never run just to be competetive, because it wouldn't be fair to the other runners. But to raise money for orphans or puppies? Totally.
