Untitled short bit with Tony kept as a pet
...because no one else posted today (where are y'all bb?), I shall now post a short scene that might as well be the fetus of a bunny (oh, I actually saw a real bunny rabbit in the grass today, and I screamed).
No smut, only implications.
In the silence that followed, the slap had rung through the room like thunder.
"Go ahead Rogers, go ahead! Shoot me the way you shot Bucky!"
Then there was the quiet noise of the sliding doors, and Tony hoped to god it was Sharon leaving. Then there was the sound of a great crash, and it's Steve killing the furniture.
Tony does the heroic thing and hides. He stumbles to the space between the armchair and the outer wall, where he could disappear if he balls up and keep his head down. This relies on Steve forgetting that Tony is even supposed to be in the room in the first place, but it has happened. Steve would be storming in circles through their quarters, and before he remembers Tony, an aide would drag him back outside to the urgent business of hunting down his former friends.
Sometimes Tony wonders if Steve could smell him, Super Soldier Serum, like Wolverine, or maybe it was the pounding of his new heart, trying to escape his chest. It could be because the only other place where Tony could be out of immediate sight was under the bed, and he's too old for that indignity. Today is another day that Steve decides to forget the notion of leaving Tony a safe space, and drags him out by the nape of his neck like an eagle's dinner.
The collar that Tony is wearing now, was once a gift he started wearing before everything went to hell and the Avengers had to be disassembled. He used to be thrilled though, never afraid. Steve still hasn't really hurt him, yet, but it's a possibility hanging over their bed now...Steve's bed (it's Steve's bed and Tony is his toy). When Captain America has overthrew his government, Tony doesn't expect him to keep any promises anymore.
Today he wasn't dragged to the bed, but rather, sideway onto Steve's lap. Tony could feel his lover's arousal against the hands cuffed behind him, but he could also feel the wetness of Steve's tears sliding down his temple. He falls back against he trembling wall behind him, and tries to make comforting noises through the gag in his mouth, because he's still Tony, and this is Steve. As always though, there was nothing he could do anymore.
