Iron Man Art

Hi! I'm a recent addition to the comm, up until now too much in awe to post.

I did this render a while ago but thought that, in view of my current Iron Man craze, I may as well cross-post it here. It's a Carrara 7 CG render with Apollo Maximus morphed to look a little like RDJ (or as much as I could manage), wearing Zikeo's freebie ArmourX. Hope you like.

I'm planning on doing a Steve next, just so I can have both of them doing indecent things with each other, lol.

There's so many excellent artists in this fandom that I'm feeling a little intimidated, lol. My CG sucks a little less than my hand-drawn stuff, though ;-)

I do the CG stuff because my drawing isn't quite up to par, lol. Plus, there's something indecent about dragging these 3D figures into improbable postitions. And I like indecent.

I take it you're doing movie-verse stuff? Comics Tony has blue eyes.

Thank you! RDJ's face is hard to pin down, so I'm glad he's at least a little recognizable.

I'm one of those who came into the fandom via the movie, yes, so I stuck with the brown eyes. But I've read so many comics in the meantime that my personal canon is something of an amalgam. Besides, we haven't had the Cap movie yet, so shipping Tony and Steve can't be all movie-verse (yet!). I may switch his eye color to blue when I start doing Steve/Tony renders, which is only a matter of time (and of morphing a good Steve). Or not. I'm not sure yet, lol.

It's tricky, isn't it? Even in comics there's so many different continuities. The face you've got looks sort of half-way between RDJ and Extremis Tony, so it can fit into either. :)

Thanks so much! I must admit I'm kind of proud of how it turned out. Some renders, no matter how much you tweak them, just end up looking like... well, not good, so I'm happy this one is not one of them.
