It may be my favorite single comics panel of all time (not counting some of the ones enshrined on Superdickery). It's every 13-year-old's sullen "you'll be sorry when I'm dead" fantasy right there in id-tastic four-color glory.

I'd suggest that the best way to handle the current writer/artist-fail would be to alter "fill in the bingo squre" to "take a shot if..." but a) we'd all die alcohol poisoning before we came anywhere close to drinking enough to make the burning stop, and b) considering that it's Iron Man, a drinking game might kind of... wrong. Or possibly right.

I think he uses that as a rational for something at least once in ToS, because I swear I remember going "Oh, Tony" over it.

The ones on Superdickery just go above and beyond. They can't possibly count, since they set the bar for awesome. (Or, alternately, for WTF. Frequently these two coincide.)

Somehow, I can see 13-year-old Tony pulling that card a lot. It's the ultimate melodramatic "so there :P!" of teenager-dom. He'd do it well too, with the whole sullen glaring and week-long "I'm not talking to you ever again" sulk.

I love the 'Not Suicide' one, but also the 'It Wasn't Worth It'. Civil War: The Confession is a gimmie for 'It Wasn't Worth It', but I think if I go back and see all the instances where Steve got hurt and Tony finds some way to blame himslef for it, it'll be a 'It Wasn't Worth It'... which is kind of sad...
