Iron Man anime trailer

I'm a little surprised I haven't seen a mention of this yet. Unless I missed the post on it.

Marvel and Madhouse are working on an Iron Man anime. There's a trailer here, and it looks rather nice.

I'm a huge anime nut, so I can only squee and hope that they don't ruin it with the wrong tropes. Anyone know who the white haired pretty boy with the obvious foeyay is?

Well, wouldn't call it foeyay until he's practically hitting on Tony with every sentence on action and pointing phallic weaponry at him... I can only assume that they cranked up Ezekiel's badassery... or they super-deaged Obadiah and cranked up his badassery as well... then made the bastardisation of either character into a communist as well...
Either way... that's just my assumption... I do find 'Pepper's' (I assume it's her...) hair colour distracting too though(I mean, green? Really?)... Not that I'm saying it looks bad or anything, just very wary of adaptations... that's... all...

The animation reminds me of the Devil May Cry anime and the fleets remind me of that short battle with Rip Van Winkle in Hellsing. Which... should be ultra-cool.

It looked like budding foeyay to me. (adjusts slash goggles) Maybe it was the intensity thing, but Tony tends to inspire that in general.

Did comic!Tony ever have an enemy that had an army of armored suits? o.O Maybe it's a new baddie all together.

Possibly-Pepper's hair I'm giving the benefit of the doubt. We saw her driving at night, which can do weird things to color, and I can't think of a reason an anime would switch her hair that drastically. Usually it's an aesthetics sort of thing, but red hair hair is pretty bright and eye-catching.

I can no longer see Tony with anyone but Steve... it's turning into a condition.

Hopefully it's an all new enemy but for some reason, I'm more inclined to think that it's an old enemy reworked... or even several old enemies intergrated into one being... Crimson Dynamo without the communism, HA.... but I'm gonna stop speculating...

I took into account that night does effect the colours... but that's still too light to be considered as any variation of red... so I don't know what they're doing there... or maybe they merged her with several other female characters and thought, "While we're at it, why don't we just change her hair colour too?" And thus, a new love interest was born

Oh, I totally agree! But everyone wants Tony, clearly, so I can see the sexual tension. Tony could have sexual tension with a table lamp. And probably has. >>;

(wince) I'm trying not to think too hard about that option. I adore Pepper, but (Steve, Tony's issues and all secretary tropes aside) I will never not believe that her becoming involved with her boss is a good idea.

That's, like, half of Tony's enemies that aren't evil businessmen (Titanium Man, the Crimson Dynamo, Doom, etc.). Fluffy white-haired bishounen boy doesn't look like any Iron Man villains I recognize, though, except maybe vaguely like extra-pretty Tiberius Stone with a bleach job and a Nazi fetish. I suspect he's a new character entirely made up for the anime.

I suppose we can hope the would-be-Nazi is actually one of Steve's (heavily adapted) villains and he gets cameos? Or would a pretty boy bishounen Steve break reality too much?

I bet Tony gets close ups with shoujo bubbles.

Msybe Emo!Zemo without the purple sock on his head? (Helmut Zemo, that is. Heinrich Zemo actually had the mask fused to his face by adhesive X, but Zemo II is a total Aryan pretty-boy underneath it, IIRC).

I bet Tony gets a close-up with shoujo bubbles the first time he sees cameo-ing!Steve.
