Extreme Advertising for Steve and Tony: NSFW

FOR those of you who don't know, Extreme Advertising is a meme where people take something kind of mundane and write about it as though it's mind-blowing, the results are usually pretty hilarious. For example: Special K cereal, a rocking chair. THEN people started applying Extreme Advertising to things that are more noticeably awesome, like fictional characters. Seeing all the awesome ones for Star Trek characters made me sad that Steve and Tony didn't have some. ALTHOUGH it's kind of hard to pump these fuckers up, they are pretty much pumped up as far as logic can go. It's like "THEY'RE SUPERHEROES!!" but that's just . . . a fact. :|| Anyway:

If you think of ma funnier way to do this, you totally should because they def deserve it.

That is hilarious! Tony Stark is a GQ motherfucker, sho' nuff.

Someone needs to do this for their Ultimates and MA versions, for real. I'm the suck when it comes to stuff like that.

What are you doing up at this hour anyways?

An MA one should contain no actual swearing. Because there are ladies present (http://joysweeper.livejournal.com/53900.html).

I don't know if one of these (what's the GQ mean?) would work without swearing, but there should at least be a mention of that.

GQ= as in the magazine?

[identity profile] jazzypom.livejournal.com 2009-08-02 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
GQ=Gentleman's quarterly. To be a 'GQ motherfucker' means that you're styling to the point of people wanting you on a magazine cover.

In 4chan I think it was. Then ONTD (aka the mothership) took it up and ran with it. Things came to a head when ONTD_P took it on their heads during the election season. Epic lulz were had.

GQ...for the longest time, I thought it was a gay magazine, and that Q must stand for queer, they've always had such beautiful men on the cover whenever I've looked.

Then one time, they had a beautiful women almost naked on their cover, and I was like, wooo, the queer magazine finally remembers lesbians! Then I picked up the magazine and discovers that wow, it's NOT a queer magazine! LOL.

Hell Yes!

My favourite parts about these sort of macros is reading them out loud. Once you shout one out, you will shout EVERY SINGLE ONE out.

The Cap one KILLED me. I want to print it and tack it on my wall along with my Star Trek collection!

Don't mind me, I'll be over here laughing my ass off.

I kind of want to make some for other Marvel characters.

I've got the most horribly awesome mental image of gangster Steve with his arms around Jesus and Buddha like a famous rapper posing with his homies... I think I might nose bleed if I laugh much harder! Thank you so much for sharing!!
...And I completely just realized the same guy played Captain Insane Romulan Guy in Star Trek and Evil Mandarin Wannabe Guy in Ironman. Wow, that's kinda sad I'm normally not that slow...

Steve can wear a chain of sparkly stars
