Honestly, I think it's kind of cheap. The original moment in CW: The Confession was so powerful because it said so much about Tony, and Steve, and their relationship, and what the whole Civil War arc had done to them. It had impact because it had proper build-up. This version seems to be striving to get the same affect through sheer power of association, but frankly, Fraction hasn't earned it. And I say this as someone who actually likes Fraction's Iron Man run a lot more than 90% of the fandom seems to.

If Thor had actually played an important role in the World's Most Wanted arc, if Fraction had actually done something with Tony and Thor's past friendship and current conflict, then this might've worked. As it is, I find myself thinking "Dude, make your own iconic moments, don't go stealing somebody else's."
