That's pretty much the feeling I have. D: The only reason I'm even buying the issues is to encourage Marvel in this whole "Cap's Not Dead" business. I kind of get the feeling that they're working working up to "nothing will ever be the same again" again with this. (twitch)

Which we probably won't know for certain until Reborn ends and the special after THAT one (Who Will Wield the Shield or something like that) ends. Then maybe Marvel might actually start making Captain America comics again... *sigh*

Yeah, he'll probably be hesitant though I imagine Bucky will leap at the opportunity to not have to be Cap anymore.

Though what I mean more is that I find it all completely unnecessary to halt making Captain America comics in favour of a separate mini series when really, this ought to be published as issues of the core comic. If Cap could die in his comic, why can't he come back? Then again, it seems that Marvel is just absolutely in love with higher priced "special" mini series.

...My empty wallet makes me bitter.

Honestly, I wonder if he'll come back as 'Steve Rogers' right away. I mean Steve Rogers is dead - he can go back to not being a public figure.

He can take braindead Tony for company. It'll be like Green Arrow and Green Lantern, only... less green. The car will break down and Steve will look doubtfully at the engine, and when Tony wanders over he lets him have a look in case he can remember something. But Tony just burns his fingers and cries, and Steve feels terrible for not taking proper care of his mentally impaired sidekick.

Can you imagine them when they stop by the greasy dinner, and Tony sticks straws up his nose? Or looks in the surface of a shinny spoon, and doesn't recognise his own reflection. Arooo?

and well... if I wrote Tony going full retard, I'd probably get mad at Fraction all over again. But yeah, greasy spoons, and he'd probably be incontinent, and Steve would have to invest in adult depends, or something.

He can't use a spoon. Either Steve feeds him, or he uses his fingers. Also, sometimes he wets himself. Steve's had to put down plastic on the car seat.
