[Spoilers!] Panel from Inv Iron Man #21

I'm shocked this isn't up yet. MAJOR spoilers...

Oh... Steve. I love how even though you're not fully irrigated back into the Universe, and even though your Rebirth #5 isn't out yet, you're still rushing to save your boyfriend BFF. Love it.

I actually woke my apartment-mates when I read that panel! Then I stared at it for like 20 minutes before I could read any more.

I tried to muster up some negative feelings about it, about how its so easy and blatantly fan-service. BUT I really couldn't. Things have been so depressing and out of character and generally badly done lately, all across the Marvel world, that something so ... positively Golden Age as Cap riding back in and making everything ok is all that I've been hoping for.

Plus, I had to squee a little over the fact that Steve hasn't even appeared alive again in HIS OWN COMIC, but he's still there when Tony really needs him. Amen to those who've called that marriage! It's almost enough good characterization to make me forgive Fraction.

Also, a note to the continuity-obsessed: I figure that we're supposed to do a little temporal adjusting when a comic gets real-world delayed. Like, we haven't read the events of the end of Reborn yet, but we knows whats going to happen. And when we read the comic, we just assume it happened before this one. Marvel world has weird time anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for us. Especially when its SO WORTH IT!
