Daredevil's somewhat better if you watch the director's cut. Like, mediocre instead of terrible. The theatrical release suffered from really bad editing choices on top of being a shaky film to start with (let's cut out an entire subplot, but leave one lone scene from it stranded by itself in the middle of the film, just to be confusing!).
When you have Michael Clark Duncan and Jennifer Garner in the same movie, Jennifer Garner is going to suffer in comparison, even if she hadn't been miscast (I do not think "kickass ninja assassin who could kill you with her bare hands" when I look at Jennifer Garner's doe eyes, elfin face, and skinny frame). I find that mentally substituting Michelle Rodriguez or Aishwarya Rai improves Daredevil all around.
