Time for the weekly newsletter & fanwork round-up! Well, just the round-up, as I've been at my local feminist sci-fi convention the last three days and am not up to date on news items. Hey, I did try to tag my fic, and it told me that it couldn't tag them. I used some pretty basic tags "PG" "AU" F"Fanfic" but it rejected them.

We have a list of tags that members can use, and if you try to type in one that isn't on the list, it won't work. 'fanfic' is on the list, but if you were typing it in with 'PG' or 'AU', it might have rejected them all anyway.

We have specific wording in the tags so that tags of a similar kind are grouped together. Instead of 'PG', we have 'rating: pg', and instead of 'AU', we have 'genre: au'. It looks like muccamukk used the tag for the specific universe you used, though - 'universe: 3490', instead of the au tag.

The complete list is here (http://community.livejournal.com/cap_ironman/tag/). It's a good idea to browse through it and copy/paste the relevant ones into the tag box when you post.

Yep thanks. I've not been really active in a community that bothered to set up a tagging system. Thanks for the heads up I'll use that from now on.
