And his current official birthdate is July 4, 1922, per both the latest Marvel Handbook and The Confession (which was put out April 2007, cover date July 2007.) He was eighteen when he signed up for Project Rebirth in late 1940, and was 22 when he was frozen in early 1945. Just a college kid in age, but I figure he had that young-old thing you saw in veterans of WWII.
