Rec week: Everything Else
So finally, on the last day, post anything. Steve, Tony, Steve/Tony; fic, art, comic, cake sculpture. Three recs maximum; duplicate recs fine.
Code in the codebox:
We'll wait a week, to give everyone a chance to add recs to all our posts, and then we'll have a big rec round-up post.

Squee: Suddenly turning into a woman is actually the least surprising thing Steve has to deal with. This was my first fic in this fandom, back when I knew who Steve and Tony were, in a vague sort of way, but not a lot else. It completely and joyfully sold me on the pairing. Here's Steve and Tony as friends and brothers in arms, being awkward and funny and very sweet, and still, over a year later, I love this fic to bits. In fact, it's even better now that I know all the dynamics and can appreciate the secondary characters better.

Squee: I must admit, I don't particularly like canon set in the Silver Age, and as a result of that, I tend to give fic set in this verse a cautious prod. Daedalus is the rare fic that borrows the characteristics from that age, and turns it on its ear. It's a piece of fanfic that encourages you to work at it. Steve Rogers is a soldier out of time, and has this aspect of silent lucidity going on. To say any more will spoil, since

Squee: Steve and Tony are playing mental games. No one is winning. This is Steve, back from the deep freeze, an Avenger, and trying to adjust to Tony Stark - who has twenty first century vices and abuses. Read the story for how literate it is, and the awkward first times. Fantastic stuff.

Squee: By some trickery, Tony gets turned into a girl. Much to Steve's discomfort, Tony enjoys being a girl. No, really, really he does. Read this story for the sheer sweetness that it offers (in Ults verse?! I know, right?), and feel your heart twist at the ending. Seriously, the love I have for this fic is pretty embarrassing at turns. If you haven't read Ultimates as yet, this is a good intro.

Squee: Steve discovers that Tony likes it when Steve pins him down during sparring. Sexiness ensues. How could sexiness not ensue? This is one sexy story.

Squee: Steve and Tony go at each other. This fic is basically essence of smut, bottled and ready for enjoyment.

Squee: First, its Marvel Adventures, that's already adorable, and I just love matchmaking fics; they're so much fun. Plus, I love how cocky Jan is at the end.
I had another one I was thinking of, but I just realized that I don't have it bookmarked! It's hilarious, since Tony gets set up on a date with Deadpool D:

Squee: Tony gets his biological sex bent, and Drama Happens. I particularly love this because of the way Tony's attitude towards his new girlparts is handled. I lovelovelove that they keep using male pronouns; the convention is usually to switch them. This is where I saw it first (others have done it right too, obviously), and I didn't even notice how much the pronoun swap bugged me until it was gone.

Squee: Post Civil War, Tony finds Wanda and the reset button gets slapped very literally. I love the way it goes over everything with the "if I knew then what I know now" mindset.

Squee: This is purely Movie!Tony-centric, and it's wonderful. Written in the style of an article by a certain Ms Everhart, it's gorgeous and makes you hurt a little for Movie!Tony.
FYI
The one with Wanda hitting reset is This Time Tomorrow (Where Were We?) by dorcas_gustine which is here.
(Both are worth reading, imho.)
