Cap_Ironman Weekly News, Week Ending 25 July 2010

Greetings and welcome to the weekly newsletter.

Comic Con! It's on and there's a pile of news every day. No real surprises so far, though they did show clips of the Cap movie. What most people seem to have taken away from that is that Chris Evans has bulked up rather nicely. Here's a picture of the whole Avengers cast and here's one of Cap's shield. There's been a bit about the Avengers movie, including an interview with the director, Joss Whedon, about the Steve/Tony potential; check that out here. I'm pretty sure there's a bunch more SDCC stuff, but I've yet to track it down. Share links of interest here if you like.

In comm news, Artist sign ups on the Cap/Iron Man Reverse Bang ([livejournal.com profile] c_im_bigbang) have closed. We currently have twenty-five talented people working away to create art for us author types to write from. Unfortunately, only twelve of author types have signed up. The minimum word count is only 6k, so do please consider wandering over here and putting your name in before 18 August. If you have signed up and are not watching [livejournal.com profile] c_im_bigbang, please do so, or you'll miss important notes like this.

Also, as I may have mentioned before, August is Avengers Month. If you have any interest in writing meta/squee/whatever about your favourite Avenger past, present or alternate universe, sign ups are here. There's lots of good ones left.

Just wanted to say, as someone who was in the room, "bulked up rather nicely" is quite the understatement. He walked out on stage and I felt like a Cougar as a Twilight Panel. I wanted. I wanted so badly. The cool thing is they just started filming five days ago -- so he can only get bigger.
