Plot Bunny Up for Adoption!

Okay, so I have this plot bunny which will really not leave me alone, so I have to share with the greatest hope of somebody adopting it?

Anyway, here goes. This is a crossover bunny, with Eureka the Sci-Fi TV Series. I myself have only just discovered it, and I am really really not up to canon in any way but the premise is this.

Eureka is a top-secret town of Mad Scientists, decades ahead of all normal technology. These crazy scientists actually spend a lot of time dealing with time-travel and alternate universes and the stuff of comic book science. The leader of these scientists is Nathan Stark, a very obvious and very deliberate expy of our beloved Tony Stark. And the main POV character is the Only Sane Man, the new sheriff in town, Jack Carter who seems a bit like Steve from my limited view of the character as of now.

Finally to the bunny: Nathan Stark is actually alt!Tony (hey, he has canonically been shown to be head of Stark Industries in an alternate universe). He is called Nathan, instead of Tony after Nathaniel Richards (father of Reed Richards) In this universe, Nathaniel Richards was killed in action during his time as an agent and partner of Howard Stark, who named his son after him in a fit of uncharacteristic sentimentality. Also why Eureka has no Reed Richards, geeking out right next to all the other crazy scientists.

And.... Jack Carter is the grandson of Peggy Carter!! (And Steve Rogers) Who incidentally looks just like his soldier grandad who died in WWII before he could make an honest woman out of his grandma!

Someone, in Eureka causes Cap and Tony to cross-over! Hilarity Ensues! (Possibilities: Tony and Cap are already in a relationship and Jack Carter is creeped out by the fact than alt!Stark is sleeping with his granddad!! Zoe bonding with her great-grandfather! Jack being freaked by his grandad's 'perfection'. Nathan and Tony 'admiring' each other! Eureka people learning about Tony's DefSec phase and getting freaked out imagining Nathan as that!)

So... any Eureka fans out here as well?? I would love to see, someone do even something tiny and drabblish with this! Open playground here!! :DD

As a Eureka(Nathan/Jack)fan I find this idea way cool (and very well researched). Unfortunately its a bit beyond my scope of writing ability. Hopefully somebody will pick it up and then we can both read it!

*dies laughing* I love this. I've been a Eureka fan since the first episode, and as they've pretty much admitted that Nathan was a direct imitation of Tony, this bunny really does scream to be written.

yes there is.

It's movieverse though. Nathan and Tony are cousins and not too fond of each other or Nathan is not too fond of Tony.

I can't remember the title right now but it's recced on delicious so you should be able to find it there if you haven't read it yet.

found it. It's called "Boys and their Toys" and has at least one sequel.

I may or may not be already doing something of a canon crossover, even if it never really comes to anything but random background knowledge in my personal canon, because I'm convinced Nathan is Tony's older brother.

I love this idea, btw. This is hilarious.

Dude, I am also convinced that Nathan is Tony's older brother. It's canon

If more than one person says it? Boom, canon. And I've met someone else IRL who also came to this conclusion independently. I love it.

I can see that too, actually.

My personal canon involves Nathan being kind of an entitled headstrong asshole (seems like a Stark family trait) with some serious differences in opinion from Howard, and he and Howard basically argue and fight and get into it so much that Howard disowns him to keep him from inheriting the company because he knows Nathan will screw it up, so Nathan does the equivalent of flipping the family the bird by going off to Global Dynamics. Then Tony takes over Stark Industries and basically goes NYAH NYAH at Nathan, because...well, Nathan's still bitter about it. And because of the areas Stark and GD both dabble in...well. They're competitors. Fun times.

Nathan still thinks he's better/smarter/sexier/etc. than Tony. Tony begs to differ.
