comic questions

Sorry if this is against the rules, I did read them but I may have missed it. My comic store has civil war in one hand hardbook. I want to read the parts after steve's death, that should be in it right? Also, what I'm worried about is moments that make me yell "no! you cannot beat up your best friend/boyfriend" and unfortunatly I've read a lot of things about this part that make me cringe. What do you think? How much of after steve death vs. steve and tony arguing was in this part of the comics?

Bendis, who did Prime, and Fraction, who does IIM, are both notorious for ignoring other people's canon. So, for that matter is Brubaker. This led to a complete lack of continueity between Steve coming back and the beginning of the Heroic age. Steve fluctuates between costumes. Tony's armour changes, and he gains and loses the arc reactor. Steve reunites with New Avengers twice, and with Tony for that matter. Steve's house both blows up and does not. It was a mess.

*holds up hand*

One other note! The 'reason' Tony is wearing old armor in 'Avengers Prime' is because it's supposed to be the old set given to Steve by Jarvis during Seige.

So... even though Steve has been busy getting put in charge directly after Siege (as muccamukk explained) Tony was still in the old armor just hanging about fallen Asgard recovering from heart surgery/lightening etc.

His newer 'bleeding edge' armor could be said to be up and running after he chats to Reed Richards in IIM v5 #25.

Maybe.

Interesting! I haven't read any of Secret Invasion/Dark Reign/Siege yet. I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't realize it was quite that extreme. Well, at least that means I don't have to bother trying to keep the storyline straight in my head! I'll just read and enjoy.

And if I get the urge to write anything, I won't worry about canon either.

Steve's house both blows up and does not.

I'm pretty sure it does that in Civil War, too. There the Millar-written issue where Maria Hill attacks him in his apartment in Brooklyn and he jumps out the window into the back of a fighter plane and the apartment is destroyed, and then there are later Brubaker and Bendis written issues of NA and CA that I swear feature the DUMBO apartment still being intact.

Clearly, someone should write fic about how Tony built Steve a self repairing house.
