MVC3 Costume Pack?

I'm not sure if this is news to anyone, but Capcom just released new skins (costumes) for certain characters in the new Marvel vs. Capcom 3 fighting game.  Both Cap and Iron Man have costumes in this pack.  Pic after cut.





The first thing that pops into my head looking at Iron Man's new stars/stripes motif is how married it all feels. No rings or anything, but "I'll just decorate my super armor like it belongs to Captain America!"

But isn't that Iron Patriot? Norman Osbourne, Dark Reign, all that jazz? I am glad that they put Steve's new costume in it, though. I just wish they'd quit using the Iron Patriot costume in EVERYTHING as an alternate look for Iron Man. They aren't quite as interchangeable as people think they are.

Or maybe it's just me that gets bugged all to hell when I see this. ^^;

Eeek! Iron Patriot = Tony in this game? I wonder if they will end up using that in the comics for some reason. Like the way Tim is now Red Robin in DC.

They call each other's "name" in MVC3. :D
(EX:Iron Man:Steeeev!! Cap:Tonyyyy!!)
Others call them:Iron Man or Captain America

It's about time they gave Steve an actual superpower. Lightning Crotch Blasts seem like they'd be a bit cumbersome though. Does he have to pelvic thrust to electrocute someone?
