Will Iron Man/Cap tension lead to Iron Man starting his own team, a la Force Works?

"Force Works is a bit of a leap," Bendis said. "A lot of the Steve/Tony relationship will be going on through the year and summer." Fraction added that Tony Stark makes a choice in Fear Itself that Steve will find "particularly stunning." "And they finally kiss," Bendis added.

You heard it from Bendis guys! Lol

"It's the start of a huge, huge year for him, between this and what happens to him in Fear Itself," Fraction said. "Somehow it's going to get even worse for Tony."

Give Tony a break! Geez! I'm kind of tired of shit happening to him, at this rate he's going to reach Dardevil levels of bad things happening to him.


Other Avengers news

Bendis said that the current New Avengers story — featuring two parallel stories of the New Avengers in the current day and Nick Fury in 1959 — will "come together at the end" and "show a new status quo for Mockingbird and the Avengers

Avengers #13 starts the tie-in to Fear Itself, with Chris Bachalo illustrating.

Plans to collect oral history of the Avengers? "Tentatively, the plan is to have a real book out by the time the Avengers movie happens," Bendis said. 

Bendis said researching for the oral history is "fascinating," and that Marvel would print the meanest letters back then, including one person complaining about Jack Kirby's "laziness."

Bendis said that, for the oral history, he's caught up to the first Avengers issues he wrote as a kid.

Yes I'm glad they're collecting it!

Ramifications of Spider-Sense-less Spider-Man in Avengers? Bendis said that will be dealt with, as well as Thing dealing with the death of his best friend.

Those fan fic writers are why I always read the last page of fics first, to see if it has a happy ending.

I do it with pro fic, too. Not always, but if I get the sense that a story is going somewhere I don't like, I'll totally peek at the last page.

Usually after page thirty of unrelenting angst, I'll check the end to see if I get some C for all that H.
