Nothing important

But apparently, another nickname Tony gave Cap.

Spangles.

I swear I'll give you something better later. :P

Also nothing important, but that reminds me of this panel from the last issue of Man Out of Time:

But I could also just be posting that everywhere.

This was the best part of the issue. Steve, if only you knew what a handful this man is about to be to you...

I'm pretty sure that every page was the best part of the issue. I was smiling for like a half hour after I read that thing. XD

That panel totally came at the perfect time. Everything was happy and yay and then that line and I just could not stop giggling. Cap, this is what your team is going to be like from now on. Just like this.

It's an interesting contrast from the Tony that squees and fans over Cap but I still love it!

And Tony and Steve should snark and banter at each other more often, yep.

[identity profile] cookinguptales.livejournal.com 2011-03-25 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I love how Tony just blatantly fanboyed Cap as Tony Stark, but he's still all snarky with him as Iron Man. He's incorrigible, Cap, you're just going to have to deal with it.

I love Steve's little smirk there. The entire panel just makes me happy every time I look at it ^_^.

I confess, I saw the set up for this arc and went "Oh. Yet another X-Men AU where Magneto's kids have been killed for angst and the Avengers are mutant-hating murderous government stormtroopers. Can we not this time?" and ignored it. Is it actually any good?

[identity profile] schala-kid.livejournal.com 2011-03-25 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
So far aside from the Avengers thing (which I really hate, hate, hate) it's been good so far, way better than House of M.

[identity profile] slipofthehand.livejournal.com 2011-03-25 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Call me confused, cause i am, but did Tony just disintegrate that dude?

[identity profile] schala-kid.livejournal.com 2011-03-25 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
AU!Tony but yes he did.

The Spangles nickname was priceless, the Avengers being anti-mutan government grunts not so much. Is it really as bad as it looks like?

[identity profile] schala-kid.livejournal.com 2011-03-25 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Echoing the message of Anti-mutant Avengers as not being good, and no matter what justification they try to use I will never ever buy Steve as hunting down anyone for their gender, religion, ethnicity or mutant status.

[identity profile] flufflenecharka.livejournal.com 2011-03-26 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Anti-mutant sentiment wrecked the initial cuteness of Spangles as a nickname. I can't see Steve hunting people down, even mutants. Defending himself from a few evil ones, maybe, and knocking them out. But seeking out people to kill... no. Just, no.

This is the kind of comic that I can't stomach anymore. I used to gleefully down anything dark, but lately I just can't do it.

there is dark, then there is highjacking characters.
