So half through finishing the prompt #14 fill, my computer decided that overheating actually sounded like an excellent idea and has been out for the count for five days and will be for a week more while they fix her.

I, however, am left with little to do and since I have lots of free time -spring break- I did a little something, the traditional way. Because I had to, after reading a comment at /co/ about the Avengers' Infinity Gauntlet arc ending I couldn't get it out of my head.

Yeah, What's up with that? Even Osborn had girls in his Secret Club: Emma Frost and girl!Loki.

When Medusa met the Illuminati I thought 'Cool! They'll have a woman in the Illuminati now' but no, just like that elven empath in Avengers Prime (Mageth) Medusa was there to.... do actually nothing too important and be forgotten rather quickly later. Both women were more of a MacGuffin (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacGuffin) than anything. In Mageth's case, she was there just to be Steve's girl of the day, she didn't do anything else and her subplot -if that was a subplot at all- was left kind of unresolved. She just was there to make kissy with Steve and then be thrown out somewhere unknown when everything went back to normal. He didn't even take her or the kiss seriously -he didn't thought he might have cheated on Sharon by having kissed another woman but he did do it when he met that girl from his past in Steve Rogers: Super soldier that he never even kissed-, shrugging off the entire episode and almost going 'Uh, I dunno, lol' when Tony -I can't remember if it was him- asked him about what had happened to her when they were back to Earth.

But well, whatever. Bendis and all that.

It is,isn't it? Just some kind of childish temper tantrum over secret clubs and not being in on them. Because Steve was mad only with Tony. As if he had been the only one to blame, as if the others hadn't had any choice or participation in forming and then keeping alive the Illuminati and any of their following endeavors.

And then after the Gauntlet's 'disposal' the others ask him if he isn't going to do something about Iron Man and he says he'll 'take care of it tomorrow' -if I remember correctly- before giving Rulk what, letting Tony go all sad thinking he's been effectively kicked out of the Avengers over the Illuminati that weren't even active anymore, would be one heck of a hypocritical speech about redemption and second chances and how it's all good as long as you are trying to make up to your mistakes with a straight face.

Then he agrees to reform and be part of the Illuminati.

*flails* Ohmygosh!! :D The concept, of course, is delightfully hilarious but the designs are slaying me with how perfect they are!! Tony and his little strap on mask and backpack (full of all sorts of nifty gadgets, I'm sure), Namor's flip-flops and swim trunks, even something about Steve's little socks pulled all the way up to his knees are SO PERFECT XD

God this is cute. Really sorry to hear about your computer (that never doesn't suck..) though really, the charm of traditional coloring works so well with the whole "kid version" thing you have going on here ^______^ Loooove this~

Oh yes! Tony's got all kinds of cool stuff in his backpack: an iPod, a customized netbook, radio controlled toy Quinjets and walkie-talkies that he lends to everyone.

Oh, I had thought about removing them but then again, I have no decent picture editing software in this computer I've been lent and I'm not installing stuff in it because, well, I think that'd be kind of rude; it not being my computer and all.

I'm glad you kept the pencil colors because not only are they super rare in fancomics, the feeling of childhood nostalgia they bring, fits the comic perfectly!

I love how the comic drives home how... childish Steve's reaction was, once you've stripped away the basic conceit of OMG!Important!Adults and OMG!Infinity!Gems (80)... I'm hoping the hypocrite!Steve is deliberate and cetral to future plot and not someone actually thinking this was right... -_-;

Also I'm adoring the tiny little details! Lol, was it Pete or Jessica who actually brought a spider to the party? Also Steve's banana-wide grin at being accepted into the 'secret-club'. And is that Sharon, wanting to be bffs with Steve? :D (Lol forever at Medusa being BB's neighbor!)

I hope so too, but seems unlikely. Although Bendis did a nice twist with Thanos. People were already expecting the worst from him and then it actually went better than expected.

[snickers] I love you so much I can't even fully express my happiness. You totally nailed how I felt after the Infinity Gems arc in Avengers. I still remember my "......" (O_o) reaction when Steve took the Time Gem and it was something I totally didn't see coming and it made his whole hissy-fit with Tony all that more funny/slashy XDDDDDDDDD
