I recently saw a similar post for another fandom and after much laughing wondered what it would look like for our fandom.

so...

You know you're a Steve/Tony shipper/writer when...

you come out of a swing dance class thinking: Hey! what if Tony....

you have songs on your ipod/mp3 players purely because they remind you of Steve or Tony/ are the kind of song they would listen to.

when on a trip to New York you realise you know the name of the 2 rivers around Manhattan from fanfic.

you wonder if you'll go to the lower East Side simply because that where Steve grew up

and frantically try to remember the adress for Avengers Mansion so you can place it on the map.

when faced with an all nighter to finish school work on time you give a thanks that November is over and you don't have to worry about your Mini Nano cota on top of the essay.

You half consider unearthing your old Physics and Maths books in the hope to write good technobabble.

you spend an ungodly amount f time on the net in order to write good technobabble

then you change ideas

You actually sit down and read string theory, and read Wired, Scientific American and other items of interest because it might be a good idea for a fic.

You contemplate getting a smart phone just so you can write and post fanfic on the go (I'm still holding out, truth)

Although you're not American, you do know the Federalist papers, and the American anthem.

You hear the "my dad helped to fight the Nazi" and the Super Soilder Programme talks in Iron Man movies and squee like an idiot, because the storylines just got a little closer xD

That happened to me in the Hulk movie when they showed a flash of the Super Soldier Serum (the actual one) before they shot it into Tim Roth. It was bad. Worse still, Tony had Steve's shield...

I did that with the New York Public Library because Patriot worked there.

ANYWAY,

You stand beside a guy wearing a Captain America shirt while wearing your Ironman shirt while people take pictures.

You never fail to tell people that they got married in one universe when they ask how close Cap and Ironman are.

You make your friend who is obsessed with RDJ download manips of him and Chris Evans.

You make a whole panel-video of the two of them with a lot of cropping and painstaking timing. (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1d-tEq-Js18)

When someone says Steve, you think TONY instead of Rogers.

Two things.

I do two all the time. I have friends who don't know much about Marvel, but the one thing they all do know is that Captain America and Iron Man get married in an alternate reality.
