Oh my gawd Howard was totally feeling up Steve's new abs...
(And Bucky's (http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/movie-stills/gallery/2883/captain-america-the-first-avenger-stills#photo4) going to be in it? How did I miss that?)
Really? I though they gave away that Steve was tiny wee and then they made him bigger and then he fought Nazis. Which I pretty much could have told you without reading the comics or seeing any of the trailers.
I've seen people wonder how he's going to get from the 40s to the modern era. Time machines are sometimes suggested. So apparently he's a lot more obscure than I ever previously considered. :(
Why is it that I find time machines more absurd than him freezing and being unthawed? Something about the unfreezing scenario just seems possible, given the serum.
You know why it seems possible to me? Because there are real animals that can survive that. Admittedly, nature has yet to produce something of human-level complexity that we know of (but then again: serum, not produced by nature), but I believe there are certain species of frogs which freeze solid in their ponds for the winter, and then thaw out and go about their business come spring (okay, I checked online, and there appear to be five known in North America). Of course, there are certain biochemical processes involved, and the frogs are a big sluggish for a while while their bodies replace damaged cells. It's not outside the realm of possibility that the serum could allow for some sort of process like this to occur, given other adjustments known to be produced by it.
They totally are! But suspended animation through freezing doesn't leave as many holes to be poked into the argument, scientifically speaking, as long as one doesn't insist on the presentation of too many details of how physiologic responses in frogs translate to a somewhat enhanced human body. Tony will master time travel one day, I'm sure. Although it may end up being more of an art than a science to the degree that he'll have to take magic lessons from Strange (is he still dead? I think he's dead right now. oh, well, ghostly lessons!) in order to give his machines that extra oomph they need to work right. Or practical applications of string theory. Or some combination therein. Something like that.
This is awesome! I can't wait til July. I keep having to remind myself I have been patient for 3 years; 1 more month and a couple days isn't that long.
This will so make up for the horror that is working in a library during the summer. It will also make a lovely early birthday present to myself. Great actor, great story and great eye candy what more could you ask for in a gift?

Mmm he was in the very first trailer (albeit in a very short clip) :3 He definitely would have had to be in the movie!

They essentially gave away the entire story and I can't even be mad because IT LOOKS SO GOOD.
I... just... (inarticulate gestures) I think I need to lie down for a bit.

Great trailer. Peggy looks badass!

Time machines are still cool, though.

But the other is just more open for science-y gooblygook. I mean, Tony's good, but not sure he's mastered the art of time travel. Yet.

Peggy's looking amazingly badass, isn't she? And it seems that she's already crushing on Steve a little even before the serum, which I kind of love.
And Steeeeeeeve! OMG, I'm so in love!

Also, I like how everyone had to touch his abs after the serum. Of course they had.

Hey, given the chance, wouldn't you do the same? I know I would.

All my joy.
