I'm happy to rec these because I love their dreamy atmospheres, which is actually what I remember most about them (I'm a bit hazy on the plot, yeah, I should reread), but I also think of them fondly because of an instance of fandom being a small world - the author contacted me when we were both in Doctor Who fandom because she'd just started at a school near me, and afterward we realized we'd been in House fandom together and had previously read each other's fics. I was so excited when I realized she had written the merfolk!Wilson fic.
