Sorry, ranty-rant aside--I hate that strong women can only seem to come in two varieties in action movies: supersmart!scientist and hot!martialartist/mistress-with-an-axe/whip/phallic-sword-WHATEVER.
Well, that's also true of most the guys. (Tony and Banner being scientists, and Steve and Thor being hot martial artist/phallic.) And there's a terrible paucity of female scientists in Marvel, so I was pleased to see one (and one that isn't into life scientists, which is what female scientists often are). It also gives her long-term integration with the plot, having her studying the Bifrost.
I agree the romance was on the rushed side, but I also didn't consider it that unrealistic that two very attractive and charming people were into each other enough to kiss after... two days?
