What I hope will happen is that we'll see Thor's human side in The Avengers, because they will be fighting his brother (at least that's the most persistent rumor about the plot) and I think they did a decent job of showing that Thor likes Loki and doesn't want to have to fight him. (I would have actually liked a little more of the reverse--where we see Loki considering himself family and then just deciding he's not anymore, because that would have been heartbreaking and I am, apparently, a glutton for punishment.) I thought the scene on the Bifrost Bridge when Thor tried desperately to save Loki was done well, and the scene where Loki confronted Odin on the steps of the treasury room about his origins made me tear up a little (I'm a big baby).
I also like the idea of someone being more into himself and oblivious to the world than Tony, because I don't think either of them will really know what to do with one another.
Steve: So here's the plan-- THOR: WHAT I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER HOW AWESOME I'M BEING CHECK OUT MY HAMMER AND ALSO MY BICEPS. Tony: MY BICEPS ARE SHINIER AND I'M MORE AWESOME! THOR: WHAT? Tony: WHAT? Steve: *headdesk*
