Hi guys! Another week, another newsletter. And another year, another rec week? Last year we had a week of rec posts. Is there interest in doing this again this year?

I know we have a fair few fanmixers in the fandom, so I thought I'd draw bigbang_mixup to the comm's attention; a slightly different format of Big Bang where a fanmix comes first, then fic based on it, then art.

Not much news this week - apparently Norman Obsorn and the Dark Avengers will be back. I include this because halfway down there's a picture of Steve drinking from an Avengers coffee cup, which I find cute. There's also discussion about how the Avengers will be having a huge line-up change.

Also, if you go to the Captain America bio at the Marvel site, under Related Characters Iron Man is first. As is right and proper.

I'd like to do a rec week. The one last year was lots of fun (plus I link to it when people ask what fic is good), and there's been plenty of new fic. We could make it a rule that no one could rec what they did last year.

Alternately, it might be better to wait until just after the Avengers film. Then the new people could have an up to date list to look at.

I'd love a rec of things that have never appeared on cap_ironman. I'm always worried that I'm missing out on great stuff simply because I don't know the author or I'm not in the right community.

Perhaps that would be less a rec week and more of a round up post. I know the Boostle comm has a link list for all their fic everywhere. They don't have as much though.

Though honestly with tagging what it was in Ye Olden Days, finding fic on the comm can be just as bad.
