A/N: In which Steve and Tony do Notorious (1946), and I make Tony quote Ingrid Bergman because he totally has Alicia’s sass. Also, I’m a sucker for steve/tony plots where they don’t admit they’re in love until it’s too late and imagining them saying some of the lines from this film to each other breaks my heart in the best way possible.

Omg, you've seen it? I was wondering if someone would know it. (Yay!) I had a rewatch yesterday because of all my feelings and my heart sort of cracked on "I couldn't stand anymore waiting and worrying about you. It wasn't a hangover you had that day. You were sick then. What is it?".

But I can so see Tony and Steve going through that plotline.

Ugh, this is so amazing. Steve's trenchcoat! The pose and the complicity it speaks of! Ugh, so much love. I love film noir, and I remember this one, for some reason I never finished it, and now I must, because Hitchcock, and Ingrid Bergman, and now Steve and Tony and I'm rambling so I'll stop now.

A fellow noir fan! Oh, you should definitely finish it! The last scene is one of my favourites, possibly the favourite, and the ending is sort of ambiguous and open and it makes everything so good and angsty.

(And I somehow always picture Steve in a trenchcoat when I'm trying to picture him in civvies, I don't know why, but I really like it on him. I have another pic with him in a trenchcoat that I should probably upload sometime.)
