Avengers!

So I just realized I have no Avenger, S.H.E.I.L.D., or marvel themed t-shirts! Anyone know where I can get some cool ones without paying to much? Acessories are awesome too!

There are online shops like Superherostuff (http://www.superherostuff.com/) and Mighty Fine (http://www.welovefine.com/). Forever 21 has a Black Widow shirt and a couple of Marvel shirts, and Hot Topic has shirts and various accessories. And if you like fanmade stuff, I'm selling buttons and charms over here (http://arachnes-web.livejournal.com/8118.html).

Oh, and you might want to tag this post. 'Discussion' would probably work the best.

Have you bought anything from superherostuff? If so, how do you find the fit?

I was considering buying one of the men's small hoodies and one of the women's tees--but I'm a little wary because they look super fitted.

Any thoughts?

I haven't bought any t-shirts from them (I've bought other items from them), but I know the shirts they sell come from different designers, like Mighty Fine, Junk Food, Mad Engine, etc. So it really depends on what brand/company made the shirt.

That said, I don't think the women's shirts are as fitted as they look in the pictures. I'm pretty sure they're clipped in the back so they fit tightly against the mannequin so you can see the image on the shirt without any wrinkles or anything like that. That's a common trick in clothing stores.

I just got this Woot! shirt and adore it. Bonus is that it is cheap!

That is the most awesome shirt I have ever seen. Although you would think they would make Cap the capsicum.... :P

I dunno, I keep chuckling at the idea of the Iron Pepper. This part of the description really entertained me:

I bought a SHIELD shirt at Amazon for $20.
If you're in the states and near a Kohls, there are a couple of Marvel shirts there too.

A lot of local comic book shops also usually sell t-shirts and they're usually priced between 10 and 20 dollars.

I have, at last count, one SHIELD, one Avengers, two Cap, one Thor shirt from the movie, and I think five or six Iron Man.

.... I may have a problem.

I went to redbubble.com, searched "Avengers" and then promptly went into a tailspin of capslock.

Target has some more traditional Marvel stuff. There's a new red Avengers shirt (just logo).

[identity profile] rathanylakan.livejournal.com 2012-03-21 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Target often has ones with a vintagey look. Mostly, I watch all the daily sites and grab them as they come up.

[identity profile] lynndyre.livejournal.com 2012-03-21 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Which are the daily sites?

[identity profile] rathanylakan.livejournal.com 2012-03-21 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
Teefury, Ript, Qwertee and Woot are the most popular. Teemagnet.com shows all current shirts from those sites and more. The only one they don't show the current design of is Shirt Punch, but in my limited experience their production quality is well below that of the other sites.

Thank you! I'll check them out.

If you're in the US you should really try Walmart and Target and some of the Dollar Store chains (places like Family Dollar or Dollar General). You can usually get a shirt from them anywhere from $5-20 bucks. I've gotten 3 Avengers shirts and about 8-10 other Marvel themed shirts from them over the years and I have never had to pay more than $20 for a shirt. Walmart right now has some real deals. I got a Captain America costume shirt there for $12 when it was over $20 on SuperHeroStuff, the exact same shirt. And also always try your local comic book store. They could always use the cash and they would have shirts that are a little more rare. My local shops have SHIELD shirts and this one shop has a pretty unusual 70th anniversary Marvel shirt that I plan on buying soon.

I got my Avengers shirt from HMV so if you're in Canada/have an HMV around you you could check there! It's the team including Spidey and Wolverine but I think there were others. I paid about 20 bucks for it! If you're looking for cute you could look into the TokidokixMarvel line-it's all super adorable. Kind of pricey depending on your idea of expensive however if you can find the stuff on sale it's not so bad, I only paid 20 bucks for a Thor one that's really cute. : D

[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com 2012-03-27 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
TokidokixMarvel???? I need this in my life. Do you know if there's anyway to get these shipped internationally?

[identity profile] haku23.livejournal.com 2012-03-27 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I got it at a local comic book shop but here's the site http://www.tokidoki.it/shop/marvel it doesn't look like they've got the Thor one anymore however they DO have a cute Cap one and of course they do ship internationally! I'm sure you could find specific shirts on ebay or something though. : D

Thanks! Those are too cute~

I don't know if you have a shopko near by but I got a cool Captain America shield shirt that looks all old and distressed in the boys section. I kinda live in it. I am totally gonna paint my nails Iron Man colors.

RedBubble and Society6 have quite a bit of them. :D
I have an Iron Man and Captain America shirt up myself -

Uniqlo has a bunch of DC and Marvel tees -- the Marvel ones seem based on old comic covers/panels. (Also, for some reason, Harajuku has been cranking out the comic book love -- have picked up a Marvel backpack and a Cap purse in the past two weeks, and there have been tons of shirts and other merch with batman, superman, spiderman, etc. lately.)
